This page explains what information Ford Web Studio (Aidan Ford, "I," "me") collects through this website, how it's used, and who it's shared with. Information comes from two places: what you choose to submit through the contact form, and automatic, anonymized usage data collected by Google Analytics.

What I collect

If you use the contact form, I collect whatever you enter into it:

• Your name
• Your email address
• The message you write

Separately, this site uses Google Analytics to understand how many people visit and which pages they look at. Google Analytics uses cookies and collects things like your approximate location (city/region level, from IP address), device and browser type, how you arrived at the site, and which pages you viewed. It doesn't collect your name or email unless you separately submit them through the contact form — the two are not linked together.

There are no user accounts on this site, and no advertising trackers.

How I use it

Contact form submissions are used solely to read and respond to your inquiry. Analytics data is used only to understand traffic and improve the site (for example, whether the contact form is actually getting used). I don't sell, rent, or share either type of information with any third party for marketing purposes.

Who processes it

Your information passes through a few services that help run this site:

• Resend — delivers contact form submissions to my email inbox.
• Vercel — hosts this website and the contact form.
• Google Analytics — collects anonymized usage data as described above. See Google's policy on data used by Google for more detail on how Google itself handles this data.

How long I keep it

Contact form messages are kept in my email inbox for as long as they're useful for our conversation or project — the same as any other email you'd send me directly. Google Analytics retains usage data according to its own retention settings, separate from anything in my inbox.

Your choices

You can ask me to delete any information you've submitted through the contact form, or ask what I have on file, by emailing aidanford1832@gmail.com. To opt out of Google Analytics tracking on any site, including this one, you can install Google's Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on, or use your browser's cookie/tracking-blocking settings.

Changes to this policy

If what this site collects or how it's used ever changes, this page will be updated to reflect that.
